Academics are held highly among all members of the Delta Gamma Fraternity. The Beta Kappa Chapter House offers many scholastic benefits opportunities for its members. The chapter house has several designated study rooms with multiple computers, printers, copy machines, etc. Like most chapters at the University of Kansas, Delta Gamma has a set amount of mandatory study hours (prorated by an individual’s GPA) to ensure that all of its members put their academics first.
All active members of Delta Gamma have the opportunity to be rewarded for their academic excellence. National and local scholarships are abundant in the Delta Gamma organization. In 2008, Dee Gee granted over $350,000 to its members who had applied for scholarships. Beta Kappa also rewards its individual members with monetary gifts if a member receives a 4.0 GPA for the semester.
A common trend found at most universities is demonstrated at the University of Kansas: The KU Greek Community has had a consistently higher GPA than the Overall KU GPA for decades. Delta Gamma beats the overall KU GPA.
The Beta Kappa Chapter of Delta Gamma has also won many awards for its exellence in the Greek Community. At the 2009 Greek Awards Ceremony, the chapter won:
Margaret E. Miller Mutli-Cultural Award Chapter of Excellence: Leadership Chapter of Excellence: Ritual Chapter of Excellence: Growth
Delta Gamma is also proud to congratulate:
Ashley Moser, the winner of the Ex.C.E.L. Award and the William R. Nelson Panhellenic Involvement Award
Nora Strebeck, winner of the Outstanding Panhellenic Association Seniors Award
Caitlin Wise, elected President of The University of Kansas Panhellenic Association
